TEHRAN -- The painting exhibition of the year's exemplary woman Mokarrameh Qanbari opened in Laleh Gallery.

The female painter who also had an exhibition last month in Stockholm started painting in 1994 and her first exhibition opened in 1995.

In the opening ceremony of the exhibition, which was attended by some of the prominent painters and art students, Qanbari said that the themes of her works are mostly taken from the Iranian traditional myths and folktales, adding that she had no instructors in the field of painting.

Most of the painters and artists consider her paintings belonging to "nihilist" style and some compare her with the renowned Russian painter "Chagall".
